Their mission and passion is creating wines that are beautiful to drink. They have moved towards a natural fermentation process that allows for our wines to fully display the unique characteristics of their grapes. The process involves utilising the wild yeast that is naturally produced by the grapes, to ferment the wine.
The Usana Chenin Blanc is a beautifully balanced wine. The natural fermentation added a softer, creamier mouthfeel while the oak added complexity and body to the wine. On the nose and palate there are hints of white peach and pear, a hint of apple with a touch of toastiness from the barrel aging.
The Usana Cabernet Sauvignon is a medium to full bodied wine with soft tannins. It has a rich, ruby coloured, is soft on the palate and displays typical hints of dark berries, spice, cigar box and a touch of vanilla. It is a beautifully balanced wine.
