A beautifully balanced Syrah, oak matured for 12 months. It abounds with blackberry, hints of dark chocolate and toasted coffee supported by soft tannin structures leading to a lingering peppery finish.

Cold maceration takes place for 12 hours allowing maximum colour extraction. The juice is then inoculated with specially selected wine yeast and allowed to ferment at well monitored optimum temperature. Pumpovers are combined with punchdowns and are done 3 times per day. Maturation is done in French oak for 12 months, after which the wine is bottled.
Smells like: Spicy berry fruit and roasted coffee beans.
Tastes like: Warm blackberry fruits, charcuterie, hints of dark chocolate and soft tannins.
Good with: Chicken cooked in red wine or a tranche of ham with a berry sauce.
